Mandarin Oriental Bodrum: sleek chic at the Turkish Riviera

Mandarin Oriental Bodrum is located in the heart of the Turkish Riviera. Add to this two private beaches strewn with extra-soft white sand, four swimming pools, a three-level spa where signature treatments share space with famous local hammam, some of the best restaurants of the region and a team which is totally committed to delight and satisfy its guests. I visited this gem this summer and it will be a pleasure to share each detail of my amazing stay. Enjoy the ride!

Palafitte: A hotel on the water in Neuchâtel, Switzerland

Hôtel Palafitte is the only hotel built on stilts in Europe and I was very curious to see it since the first time I saw pictures of the property. I chose Palafitte for my first trip since I moved to Switzerland as me and my husband were in need of serious relaxation. I couldn’t be happier with my choice and I will tell you everything you have to know to enjoy this paradise. Enjoy the ride!

The Betsy Hotel: timeless elegance in Miami South Beach

The Betsy was pretty much the last Georgian-style hotel to be built on Ocean Drive and was called The Betsy Ross at the time. “Unique” is the right word to describe the property and its pre-deco plantation style. The absence of pool parties, nightclubs and celebrity DJs makes The Betsy stand out from its attention-starved neighbour hotels and a recent renovation has turned it into one of the best choices in South Beach.

I was there one month ago and will describe in detail how it went.

Saint-Tropez: a glam summer in France

Saint Tropez is one of the first destinations that come into our minds when we think about European summer. And it is quite easy to understand why. It is a resort on everybody’s bucket list and if you haven’t been there yet, there is still time to book a nice stay at the French Riviera. The place hasn’t been the same lately and many of the habitués took a time off. Nevertheless, it sounds like 2017 will represent a comeback, and let’s be honest: it is always beautiful and a nice choice. Saint-Tropez offers fun for each and every taste: for those seeking never ending party with a lot of champagne and also for those who “only” want to lay back and relax in a beautiful place, with plenty of gourmet restaurants, refreshing beaches, state of art accommodation, shopping and a rosé that makes me dream when I write about it.

Join me and I will tell you everything you have to know to enjoy amazing days in one of the most glamorous beach resorts on earth.

Six Senses Laamu: The Maldives at its best

Six Senses Laamu is the only resort in the Laamu Atoll, deep in the Indian Ocean, in the stunning Maldives. Just a short inter-island flight from Malé International Airport and a quick boat trip take you to a place where dolphins swim, turtles are born, Mantas are easily spotted and where the sunsets are just magical. The luxury Maldives resort is a combination of on-land and over-water villas constructed of sustainable materials and set around the palm-fringed paradise. I spent a week in this secluded heaven and will tell you everything you have to know before packing and rushing to this paradise.

Te quiero, Barcelona

Barcelona is like an Almodóvar movie: there is a bit of everything, a crazy mixture of environments and we can be whatever we want to be.

This city has endless meanings to me because this is where I found love (met my husband in a club while on vacation in 1999), where I lived and felt extremely welcome in 2001 and a place I will always return to, at least once a year. It is not necessary to list many reasons to love Barcelona, it simply happens.

In this first post – and I say “first” because I am sure I will write others about this place – I will only mention the obvious tourist attractions and take a deeper approach at more “insider” ideas on how to explore BCN.

Maldives – Blue Paradise

I start this blog posting about one of my favorite destinations on earth: the Maldives!! It is not by chance that many couples choose a resort in this country to spend their honeymoon. But believe me, this is not a place only for honeymooners – for instance, I have been twice on a “normal” vacation and there are hotels fitting every taste.
