Dining at The Duchess, in Amsterdam, is one of those experiences for every sense. I still cannot decide which aspect of this place is the most stunning one: food, ambience, service… Everything is absolutely perfect at this former KAS Bank in W Hotel, in the heart of the city.
The first time I visited this restaurant was around one year ago when the concierge of a great hotel told me that it was an experience “per se” in town. I returned two weeks ago to confirm that it just got even better.
I am very happy to share the experience in detail with you because it was fantastic!!!
I first visited Ron Gastrobar in Amsterdam some years ago, before I could even imagine that I would end up living in this city. I went with my husband and we had such a great experience that since then I have been recommending this place to everybody who asks about good restaurant in Amsterdam.
After this first time, I returned in two other occasions (and counting) and the word to describe food, service, ambience, etc, etc, etc is “SUPERB”. Last time I was at Ron Gastrobar was last week and it will be a pleasure to tell you in detail how it feels to dine in such a great place, one of the few restaurants in Amsterdam which were awarded a Michelin star.
Saint Tropez is one of the first destinations that come into our minds when we think about European summer. And it is quite easy to understand why. It is a resort on everybody’s bucket list and if you haven’t been there yet, there is still time to book a nice stay at the French Riviera. The place hasn’t been the same lately and many of the habitués took a time off. Nevertheless, it sounds like 2017 will represent a comeback, and let’s be honest: it is always beautiful and a nice choice. Saint-Tropez offers fun for each and every taste: for those seeking never ending party with a lot of champagne and also for those who “only” want to lay back and relax in a beautiful place, with plenty of gourmet restaurants, refreshing beaches, state of art accommodation, shopping and a rosé that makes me dream when I write about it.
Join me and I will tell you everything you have to know to enjoy amazing days in one of the most glamorous beach resorts on earth.
Ahhh the Buddha-Bar Hotel Paris… This summer the hotel displays an air of Jungle chic, though with its usual Asian cultural slant: tropical plants and succulent in burnt wood containers, black rattan chairs, lanterns and so on. The feel is of perfect fusion, oriental touches and French tradition in total harmony.
I spent some days at this Parisian institution last week and will tell you in detail what to expect when booking a room at this amazing property! Join me!
Six Senses Laamu is the only resort in the Laamu Atoll, deep in the Indian Ocean, in the stunning Maldives. Just a short inter-island flight from Malé International Airport and a quick boat trip take you to a place where dolphins swim, turtles are born, Mantas are easily spotted and where the sunsets are just magical. The luxury Maldives resort is a combination of on-land and over-water villas constructed of sustainable materials and set around the palm-fringed paradise. I spent a week in this secluded heaven and will tell you everything you have to know before packing and rushing to this paradise.
To write about Park Hyatt Vienna is to write about style and elegance. I stayed at this hotel twice and will tell you everything about this place where refined luxury is only matched by the distinctive perfection of the detail.
Contemporary modern aesthetic interior in historical rooms and views of the old town of Vienna provide you the most epic stay in town. Join me and find out more!
Fancy some bubbles? Champagne is the place. It is true that many other regions around the globe produce very good sparkling wine, but the most famous brands and the method which classifies all the other sparkling wines are from Champagne. By law (Geographical Indication), only the drink which is produced here, following the local rules, can be called champagne.
I have been to Champagne a couple of times. I love this place and I will tell you everything you have to know in order to enjoy each second of your trip. Santé!
How about CavoTagoo in Mykonos? End of February in Europe and temperatures are still quite low but spring is about to start and, therefore, we are allowed to dream about summer, right?!
I have already made my list of places to visit in 2017 and there is a place always among my Top 5 – Greece, Mykonos – CavoTagoo hotel.
I have already been to this hotel a couple of times, the last one in June/2016 with my parents. Each and every time I visit this place I cannot avoid falling in love – and when it’s time to leave I already plan my return.
I hope you enjoy the read and join me “around” magical CavoTagoo Mykonos.
Barcelona is like an Almodóvar movie: there is a bit of everything, a crazy mixture of environments and we can be whatever we want to be.
This city has endless meanings to me because this is where I found love (met my husband in a club while on vacation in 1999), where I lived and felt extremely welcome in 2001 and a place I will always return to, at least once a year. It is not necessary to list many reasons to love Barcelona, it simply happens.
In this first post – and I say “first” because I am sure I will write others about this place – I will only mention the obvious tourist attractions and take a deeper approach at more “insider” ideas on how to explore BCN.
Surreal Bio Hotel and Spa in Tirol, right at the feet of Wilder Kaiser mountain. And when I say “surreal”, guys, I mean it! The iconic hotel Stanglwirt counts more than a century of tradition and in 2016 has been listed by Condé Nast Traveler magazine among the 147 best hotels in the world (the only one in Austria) and was also voted one of the 10 best resorts in Europe. I have been there, had an amazing time and will tell you everything!
